I began my own healing journey in my twenties when I trained as a Shiatsu practitioner.

With over 30 years of experience as a bodyworker, my approach to therapy is rooted in the body and the relationship. I believe the body holds deep wisdom and the relationship you have with yourself is primary and a mirror to how life appears and that healing can begin when we create the space to truly listen. At the heart of my practice is the therapeutic relationship—a space of safety, trust, and co-regulation, where lasting change becomes possible.

Along the way I have also trained in counselling, IFS (internal family systems), CBT, embodied dance, somatic enquiry, yoga and meditation in many forms and have spent many years holding spaces in different ways for healing to happen and transformation to occur.

I am a keen gardener and my favourite place to be is my allotment and there is a connection between my psyche and my garden – I often use gardening metaphors to dive deeper into a sticky or uncomfortable place.

I am also an avid reader and have recently begun creative writing which is so enjoyable. The writing at the moment is mainly influenced by my dreams as they provide me with a rich vein of creativity and imagination.  Who knows?  Perhaps there is a book hidden somewhere in me.

I have recently come to discover myself as neurodivergent (‘peer reviewed’ AuDHD rather than formally diagnosed) and my unrelenting hyper-focus is dreams and IFS.
